The Second Line Band is a four-piece blues band with a solid, driving rhythm section consisting of Bill McCarthy on drums and Russ Norris on bass, with Steven Lavenhar on guitar, and Dale Hayman handling lead vocals and harp.

The Second Line’s repertoire covers a rich musical palate ranging from classic Chicago and Texas blues, to modern blues interpretations and the complex polyrhythms of New Orleans funk. This is American music drawn from traditional country, gospel, Delta blues, jazz, and Memphis soul.
